Nao has being weaving traditional Japanese textiles for over 15 years, mainly creating kimono and scarves she works with silk and wool and specialises in using natural dyes.

Frame weaving workshop

You will learn how to set up the warp on the loom, weave a few simple stiches and fringe the wool to finish off- experimental to use of colour and texture is encouraged.

Japanese Teyui Kasuri (Ikat Weft) Indigo dye weaving workshop

This workshop is for those with some weaving experience or those with prior knowledge Ikat who wish to develop the specialist techniques for making weft ikat and indigo dying.
